Add an Image to Blogroll

blogroll imageYou’re not here to hear me talk about how important it is to add an image to your blogroll. You just want to know how to do it.

 

I won’t waste your time, I’ll just show you how.

 

We will add the image on the top-right of the post to the our blogroll. 

 

Here is what my blogroll looks like without the image.add image to blogroll

 

Its boring and doesn’t even make me want to click it, even though I know there is awesome content in there.

 

Step 1

Upload the image you want on your blogroll into WordPress.

 

Step 2

Go to Dashboard and to the post that you want to add the blogroll image for.

From there click on “Screen Options.”

Ensure “Featured Image” is checked.

Scroll to the bottom right of your post until you get to “Featured Image.” Click on “Set Feature image.”

Click your image then click “Set Feature Image.” Your Image will appear in the “Feature Image” area.

Click “Publish” or “Update” and you’re done. Now go see how cool your blogroll is now.

As you can see, adding images to your blogroll is very quick and simple. You can also see how just a simple image like the one I made can make your blogroll more pleasing the eye. Remember that the majority of your website visitors are in the scanning mode. They are browsing information until they either find what they are looking for or something catches their eye.
